He is an entrepreneur as well and understands the rants that I express from time to time. He gives great advice and listens to me rant from time to time. Today we talked about the differences between a leader and a follower. Which one are you? How do you know? Are you influential? These are questions that I ask myself often. Sometimes I get in a rut and wonder who's listening. In my business, I work with people who come from various ethnic backgrounds and a huge variety of age groups and socio-economic and educational backgrounds. How do I reach all of them at their individual levels and connect with them? How do I become a leader to my team?

Have you ever worked at a job for a number of years and trained others to do your job? Or better yet, have you ever worked at a job and your employer hired someone with absolutely no experience for a position higher than yours? What leadership qualities do you think you lacked that could have gotten you the position? It cant be the "man" every time right?? Evaluating your leadership skills is imperative to become the leader that can take a team to higher levels.

What attrubutes do you need to possess to be a strong and celebrated leader? The first thing is to be great to followers. People follow people, people join people, people buy from people. Its just how humans work. We are feeling based, we make decisions based on the emotional connection that we have with the other party. While decisions are not solely derived from the emotional connection, it plays a big part. We have to feel good about the decisions we make. Other aspects of a great leader include,

* being goal oriented
* setting standards that they live and teach
* being a visionary
* has passion for people and their success
* has the ability to inspire, uplift, and encourage others
* accepts responsibility for their own actions
* courageous and takes risks
* a good communicator

There are many other aspects to being a great leader. The biggest one to me is personal development. Know that you are always learning and evolving and that personal development is an important key to growth. Incorporating these characteristics in your business will set you apart from the tire kickers and propel you forward. Honing in on these aspects will have people begging to have you teach them the characteristics and now you have an excellent team that is destined for greatness.

No matter what your business or personal goals are, personal development is a necessity. Taking the time to read and invest in YOU cant not be avoided if you desire success. Keep those keys in the front of your mind and you will be unstoppable.

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

Ayanna Cross
336-303-8005
Ayanna Crosshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01406474266069266174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-79068324268070580.post-86855311651336826112013-02-08T06:58:00.001-08:002013-02-08T06:58:00.413-08:00It's Tax Season Once Again!! Take Advantage Of The Benefits It's tax season again. All the phone lines to the IRS have hold times of up to 27 mins, the waivers dressed in crazy costumes are on the side of the road trying to get you to come in their establishment, and most business owners are trying to gather all their receipts. It's hectic for everyone. You feel prepared, but are you really? Last year, all the talk about the fiscal cliff had everyone nervous but what does it mean for you both personally and professionally? Here is some very enlightening info:

To the surprise of many, Congress hasn’t brokered a deal to overcome the fiscal cliff situation. Thus, everyone is asking me, “what does it mean to go over the Fiscal Cliff?” Frankly, a lot of tax breaks will expire and a lot of automatic spending cuts will go into place that will cut the yearly deficit in half but could enhance the recession. Here are some of the changes:

1. 2% increase in payroll taxes such as social security for everyone.
2. Automatic reduction in discretionary and mandatory spending.
3. Sharp reduction in Medicare’s payment to physician services by as much as 25%. Expect to see waves of doctors opt out of Medicare and Obama care.
4. Elimination of the bottom 10% tax bracket. The lowest bracket will be 15%.
5. The top four tax brackets will go up to a max rate of 39.6% from its current 35%. This means an increase of at least $2,000 in taxes for the average American and not just the rich.
6. Employer provided educational assistance of up to $5,200 per year-ends.
7. Student loan interest phases out over lower income levels.
8. Many of the adoption credits, except for special needs kids, are either eliminated or significantly reduce after 2012.
9. Marriage penalties come back. This means that the standard deduction for married folks isn’t twice the single amount for 2013.
10. Itemized deductions and all exemptions phase out by 3% above an inflation figure for higher income taxpayers.
9. The child care credit ends in 2012.
10. Fewer people will be eligible for the earned income credit.
11. The child credit drops from $1,000 per child to $500.
12. The minimum amount needed to file a tax return is lowered to require more people to file returns.
13. Regular corporations have more potential tax problems due to significant raises in the accumulated earnings tax and personal holding company tax rates. If you operate as a “C corporation,” you must meet with your accountant to plan to avoid these problems.
Sandy’s elaboration: it is nice of Congress to require more accounting time. I call this act the “Small Accountants Relief Act.”
14. Back up withholding on gambling rises from 25% to 28%.
15. Voluntary withholding on social security and unemployment rises.
16. The estate tax and gift tax exemption goes from the current 5.1 million dollars to one- million dollars, although you do get a renewed credit for family owned businesses.
17. Estate and gift tax rates rise from a max rate of 35% to as much as 55%.
18. Elimination of Tax credits for educational expenses such as The American Opportunity Credit and Lifetime Learning Credit. Moreover, this isn’t a comprehensive list, but it does give you an idea of how this will affect you. Notice it affects everyone and NOT just the rich, although the rich will pay more taxes as a result.
19. Normally when your home gets foreclosed or given back as part of a short sale, you do NOT have taxable income if the amount of forgiven or cancelled debt is less than two million dollars. This exclusion ends in 2012. Thus, if your home if foreclosed or given back as part of a short sale, you are deemed to have sold your home. Thus, if the bank sells the home for less than the amount of the debt, you are taxed on the difference!

Now imagine dealing with all of that and not getting the deductions you deserve because you don't have adequate records. That's where Taxbot comes in. This software allows you to keep a running total of your deductions throughout the year. Not only can you see what you can write off but if your smart, you can calculate your quarterly tax debt and not get behind. Take a look at the software. There is a free trial in it for ya!

~Ayanna
(336) 303-8005

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
Ayanna Crosshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01406474266069266174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-79068324268070580.post-85332342416422173322013-01-25T08:00:00.000-08:002013-01-25T17:04:50.906-08:00What is Empower Network and how can it help me?This is a question that I've been asking my self for several months. About 8 months ago, I ran across a post from my online mentor Nicole Cooper. She had been posting several articles about building her online business and generating leads and one caught my eye. EMPOWER NETWORK. The name had a ring to it. As I delved in her post, I kept asking myself, how can I make this work for my MLM business. After all, in network marketing, the only training provided is the "3 foot rule" concept and for me, that was getting old. Now that I have taken the step to align my self and my business with Empower Network, I wanted to share with you what it is, how it can benefit you in your goals and what I am expecting from it.

Empower Network was built to do several things but I want to point out a few of them. EN (Empower Network) can do the following with effort and commitment:

help generate leads for your MLM Business

help market or promote any product or service that you currently have

help generate the income to fund any personal pursuits that you need capital for

Help stay at home moms and dads generate income to support their family

Assist you in learning how to run a home based business

In other words, this can work for anyone with the desire to make money from the comfort of their own home and computer. (In my case, iPad)

Bottom line is this....Take a look at what Empower Network can do for you and try it. You cant succeed until you try. Best of all, if you align yourself with me and my team of bad ass entrepreneurs, you will get access to a blueprint that will guide you to awesome income. Now don't ask me today or even next week how much money I've made with EN. Why? Because today is my first official day. But don't worry, I will definitely keep you posted on my successes. My goal by the end of the year is to be earning 10k/month from EN alone. That is a realistic goal and I have the blueprint to get me there!!

The tax benefits alone are significant. Its tax time and a lot of people are sweating. The fact that the government could not come up with an agreement before the end of 2012 put a lot of people in a financial bind. Don't let that be you next year. Although we don't have complete control of the government, we do have control of our households. There are two tax classes in America. Not the rich or poor, its employee vs business owner. The difference is as an employee, their tax debt starts on the first dollar earned. As a business owner, we are able to do business and earn a profit before taxes are due. Small business generates over 70% of the job growth in North America.

This can be done full-time, par-time, or spare time as long as you run your buisness with honest expectation of profit.

So many people are looking to get an extra job instead of looking at the benefits of owning their own business.
Here is an awesome example of why having a job is the wrong decision.

WakeUpNow -- Sandy Botkin shares Tax Secrets of the Wealthy and Home-Based Business Owners
www.youtube.com

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad
Ayanna Crosshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01406474266069266174noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-79068324268070580.post-57234876682222091012012-11-22T18:58:00.002-08:002012-11-22T18:58:31.744-08:00Can I borrow $7?Have you been reading my posts and said to yourself, "I'd like to make some money online but I dont want to invest a lot of money to "try it out". If that's you, here is your chance to shine. I've partnered with a company called the pennymatrix. This is the Ebook of the month club- On STERIODS! Simply put, its an amazing $7 Business with Huge earning potential. Look at it like this...If I asked you to borrow $7 would you give it to me? Most of you would. You would hand me the money then carry on about your life. Most of you wouldn't ask what I was going to do with it. Its not enough to affect you financially, and if it is, you really need to listen closely. But what if I took it and said, Im going to invest this in your name. That takes the pressure off of you. After all, you have already given me the money anyhow so what I do with it is my business. So I take it and invest it with your name on it and follow up with you in 30 days. My statement would be, remember that $7 you gave me a while back? Well it has turned to $77. Where can I send the check? Some times tha'ts how you have to get people involved in what you are doing. If this is a scenario that you would like to try, then pretend that I just asked you for $7. Follow this link and "give it to me and bless yourself in the process".
What is the most frustrating thing about network marketing? Is it handling objections? Is it because its people driven? Is it making time for training and presentations? Is it being told no? I believe that all network marketers have a problem with objections and being told no. Whether you are new and not sure how to handle the objection or if you are seasoned and know what type of benefit or change your company can provide to that prospect's lifestyle; objections can be a thorn in your side.

Some common objections include:

MLM businesses dont work

I dont do sales

I'm too busy

I dont know enough people

I thought it was a pyramid scheme

I dont have the money to get started right now

There are more but these are the most common that I'm seeing right now in my primary business. I'm sure you have heard all of these and many more. The key to overcoming these objections is to change the way you prospect.

Stop provoking your prospects!! Stop giving them clues that you have doubts about your products/services. Example:

Prospect: Is this a pyramid scheme?
You: No are you looking for one? If that's what you are looking for I can't help you.

That comment may come off as smart ass but it reverts the subject back to the prospect instead of defending your company. The defense mechanism is messy and can be misconstrued. Instead, focus on what brought you into this company and expand on that.

Also when prospecting, qualify them. Determine if they are potential customers or team mates. I try and prospect everyone as a customer. I gain their trust by providing them with products and services that they want and need. Then I talk to them about the business opportunity. Everyone, no matter what they say, is looking for a way to make additional money. Even if they are wealthy, additional income is a good thing. If your primary goal is to build a team, then you will have to be more selective. Make a list of what you are looking for in a prospect. That will help you narrow down the tire kickers and your close rate will be higher. The mistake comes when people don't determine the role you want that prospect to play before talking to them. The prospect will see you as desperate and you will see your prospect walk out the door. My list looks something like this...

Someone with a great attitude

Someone that will be a true leader

A people person

Someone taht can set and reach goals

Someone that is ambitious

If I'm out and talking to people and I catch an eyeroll because I'm "speaking to too many people" that person is not someone I want on my team. I look at everyone as a prospect. It should not make you uncomfortable that I can "work a room"

The qualities that you put on your list should be in line with how you carry yourself. You cant just wing it. Be prepared and they will see you as a leader and ultimately join you in your business. Remember that people join people!!
During that time, I've learned a lot. I've seen a lot of people become successful and I've seen a lot of people fail. The difference between those people were their commitment When things get hard, that's usually when situations turn around but a lot of people don't make it to that point. I'm determined to see this thing through.

The key to being successful in network marketing is to get your team on top.

Choosing a sponsor is an important decision when choosing a MLM Business. Although your sponsor will not determine your success or failure, you can increase the likelihood of your success by your choice of a great sponsor. Here are 10 questions to ask in order to determine if the person you are speaking with is the right person for you to partner with:

1. What are your goals and vision for your business? Although the goals and vision of your sponsor will not determine your success, they can give you some excellent insight as to if the person is serious and can help you understand where they are headed with their business and to see if you fit in with their long-term strategy.

2. How many MLM companies have you worked with? Although there are some serious leaders who have been in several companies, the reality is that if the person has jumped around a lot and has worked with multiple companies at once or has changes companies many times within a few years, you want to be careful. They may not have the commitment to the company they are currently with that you will want in order to create long-term income and stability.

3. What are your current methods of working the business? Although you can easily learn how to work the business using different methods than your sponsor, and you are certainly not expected to do things in the exact same way as your sponsor, the reality is that an ideal partner should have experience with the main methods that you plan to use. For example, if you want to build online but you sign up with someone who has never built online, it will be more difficult for you than if you choose a sponsor who has internet MLM experience.

4. What kind of training do you offer your team? This is something else you want to consider before making your choice. Various teams within various companies offer different kinds of training. Make sure that the training you need will be available when you need it.

5. Are you part time or full time in the industry? While there are many successful part-timers and you do not want to eliminate someone as a potential sponsor just because they are part-time, you want to at least know what there commitment to the business is as well as what kind of time they have available?

6. What is your philosophy for building your business? While the answers to this will vary widely, this is something that you will want to at least be aware of since various philosophies can impact how a particular team within a company works.

7. What systems or tools for recruiting and gaining customers does your team use? For some teams they may have a special online system, while others may have a particular kind of off-line system, others may have a cross between the two or they may provide you with training on how to create your own system. At the minimum, a good MLM sponsor should have some kind of organized system available for you to use.

8. Where do you get most of your MLM training from? This can be useful to know since ideally a large portion of it should come from the company but in many cases, they may also have some recommended trainers from outside of the company.

9. Do you ever stack people in your organization or give leads to your downline? There are both pros and cons to this and the pay plan for the company will have an impact on whether or not this is a common practice within the company. In general too much of this is not a good thing and you should stay clear of any sponsor who promises to give you lots of people or to build your downline for you.

10. How do you see us working together? Regardless of your potential sponsor’s leadership ability, experience in the company and industry and level within the company, one of the most important factors to consider is whether or not you think that you can get along with the person. This is crucial since they will be training you and you will be doing business together so at the very least you need to like the person and feel like you can develop a lasting and profitable relationship.

Of course you will have other questions but was a good starting point for me. Knowing the answers to these questions will give you an idea of what to expect from your upline. Even if you dont ask, I will definately go over these questions in our interview. Partner with me today!

They were telling me the process of the promotion and how they had to do several interviews, take a test and write an essay. As I was saying congratulations, I asked, was the raise going to be a significant impact on their finances? Her response was something that rocked me to the core. She said, "A little, I'll get $1.30 raise." She then went on to say that that company hadn't paid raises in 4 years. Inside I was crushed. She had to jump through all those hoops just for an extra $1.30/hr.

This is the world that we live in today. The government talks about unemployment rates are high, companies aren't hiring, and people are struggling. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not rich by any means...YET and do have a heart for people who are in need because I was in that place several times in my life. But each time that I had to struggle, I made a commitment to myself that I would not get back to that place again. I am a single mom with two awesome boys who watch my every move. So its up to me to teach them a better way. Moreover, I've taken on the responsibility to teach other people to learn different. We don't want more because we don't know better. Don't let this be you. This is a vehicle that can open doors that no job can. But you can't just sit back and watch me or the other leaders in this business and "see what happens" because we are doing it. We are changing our finances and others in the process.
I saw this Ad in the newspaper on Sunday. This is the mindset of the people that has to be changed!!

Company A is hiring for a customer service rep paying $12.00/hr. They offer benefits after 90 days. In order to apply, you must fill out a 3 page application, submit references, resume, and letters of recommendation. They also request that you have at least a two year degree and clean credit. After 90 days, no guarantee of employment as you will begin with a temp agency. This was a real ad posted in Sunday's news paper. The details were given after I called to check on it. The employment process was expected to take several weeks and the position was due to begin in November. At the time of calling, they had already received 200 applications. Now obviously they do not have 200 positions available. Their phone was ringing off the hook and will probably continue to ring.
Joining your local Chamber of Commerce can be invaluable for
your network marketing business. The key is to not just JOIN – but to be
INVOLVED. Attend the monthly networking
luncheons, and have your “30 second commercial” ready to roll off your tongue
during introductions. This means when
they go around the table to do introductions, you know EXACTLY what you are
going to say. Make sure that it is no longer than 30
seconds, and it’s to the point. In 30
seconds, you should be able to say who you are, what company you are with, what
that company does, and how you would like to help those who are at the event
today. Here is an example of what I say :

Hi, I'm Ayanna Cross with AC Marketing Group. Our mission is to improve our personal economy by marketing products and services of several fortune 500 companies. Some of our clients include Sprint, Verizon, and ADT security systems. Not only are we helping people eliminate their household bills but we are helping businesses grow their capital so they can expand their marketing efforts and grow their bottom line. An ideal individual that we like to work with is someone who can benefit from having their household bills paid and who has a heart of helping others. If that's you, I'd love to talk to you afterwards.

Be direct and compelling, but leave a little on the table
that will make someone want to seek you out afterwards. End with a comment similar to “If you’re
looking to [insert your company benefit here], feel free to see me after the
lunch for more information”.

MANY times Chambers of Commerce groups are looking for
speakers. Step up to the plate!!! Offer to give a short talk on “How to Make
Money Alongside Your Regular Job” or “How to [Increase Your Skin’s Appearance]
or [Improve Your Legal Portfolio] or [whatever other benefit you have to
offer]”. Think of anything that would
appeal to business people.

*** Bonus – pay particular attention to any Women’s Groups
offshoots of the Chamber (Women In Business, Women In Leadership, etc). They often have their own luncheons, and are
also looking for speakers. It doesn’t
matter if you are a man or a woman – you can speak at these events!

After the lunch or main event, it’s time to do some
additional networking. You cannot be a
wallflower! With your business cards in
hand, it’s time to walk up to people and introduce yourself. Here’s something that is VERY important to
remember. People will remember you MORE
if you ask questions about THEM. Plus
you will be able to actually find more quality leads this way. Your conversations might go something like
this:

No matter why you started your own business, the benefits to owning a small business are the same for all. Last week the first round of presidential debates where held. I'm not going to make this a political post but one thing I noticed was the candidates were talking to different audiences. Some of the topics were geared to the wealthy, the poor and the middle class. One of the things that we all need to grasp is that business ownership is for everyone. They all have different start up costs but we all can reap the same benefits. Network Marketing is the easiest business to get started with minimal overhead costs. If you dont have a business then you arent aware of the tax breaks and write offs afforded to us. I ran across a tip on how to write off your fun. If you dont have a business and are interested in starting one, click here to learn more.
How would you like to write off your FUN and entertainment? Things like: golf, sporting events, theater tickets, nightclubs, and more!

The IRS allows you to deduct 50% of what they call "Associated Entertainment." AKA "fun!" The key is that the entertainment must either precede or follow a substantial and bona fide business discussion during the SAME 24 HOURS as the entertainment!

Real Life Example: Lee has a business lunch with Karen and discusses business. If Lee suggests they go play golf after the lunch, then he may deduct 50 percent of all his golfing costs!

Insider Secret: To audit proof your record you must record the link between a business conversation and the fun in the same day. You can do this in your tax organizer or tax diary, or easily with Taxbot!

Special Canadian Note: Canadians can't deduct green fees for golf deductions. However, they can depreciate golf clubs, deduct golf balls and caddie fees to the extent that they document business discussions in Taxbot and prove it was a business expense. Enjoy the sunny day on the course!
The other night, I was laying in bed after listening to a conference call. Too excited to go to sleep, I dictated some notes for today's post. We have implemented some awesome marketing tools, but for new people to the industry, they may seem overwhelming. We all know the stress associated with trying to keep up with too much at once. We all know why we start businesses and why were looking for something else to supplement our income so its very important to keep up that momentum and focus. Read the tips below or

Listen here

1. Get started early. Don't be like me and wait until you have all the info and understand everything. I waited 45 days before I began marketing my business. Do your due diligence and research the company but don't use that as an excuse to delay your profits.

2. Take advantage of the sizzle call. This is a good way to get the business in front of people. The key to this is in the follow up. After they listen to the call, have them text you and ask them if they would like more information. People need direction so if you don't ask, they wont tell.

3. Use the memory jogger sheet. It's priceless. It helps you go into your phone and find the contacts. We normally don't keep people's occupation along with their name and phone number. This allows you to match up the occupation and gives you an opening when contacting them.

Here is an example of using the memory jogger.
ex. Hi (Mr, Florist) how's business. Hey look, I'd like to partner with you to help you grow your sales. How about adding a cellphone payment center in your shop to increase walk-ins Its free for them to use their site to make payments and you can give them an incentive towards your products for doing so.

Companies that have long wait times are perfect for this. Restaurants, car repair shops, hair salons, barber shops, etc. Use these tips to get started immediately and reach your goals that you had in the first place!!

Stay encouraged,
Today was my youngest son's birthday party and Im exhausted. I hadn't planned on writing tonight but something special happened. One of the Leaders in my company held an emergency conference call. Before I go on, I want to say how Great my GOD is. I know we hear that a lot. People say it everyday and while God is "Good all the time", its an awesome feeling when he shows himself GREAT in other people.

Tonight my upline Curtis Cross, (yes, same last name, no relation) revealed a new marketing plan that he has come up with to help us grow our business bigger and faster that ever before. I will share more about that on Monday, but I want to leave you with this; Do not question GOD for HE knows the plans he has for you. As I write those words, they are revelation for me as well. I have had a rough couple of months. While I was/am going though, I can tell the end is in sight. Everyone has given me encouragement during this time but it was very hard to receive. My thought process was trying to comprehend WHY and just couldnt. I never came up with an answer but I kept hearing this very clearly...Be patient and I will see you through. Its almost like HE interrupted my thoughts, said that, and then was like, back to your regularly scheduled program.

I say that, to say this...This marketing plan is awesome and I feel will be the answer to some of my questions and prayers. If you are on my team, know something BIG is coming and get ready. If you are not and want to be, CLICK HERE. If you are in another business but are here to learn tips on how to grow your bottom line, stay tuned. If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Goals + Actions = Results!

Anyone can master the art of Network Marketing with a little bit of effort. Whether you realize it or not, we all network in one form or another. It’s apart of our everyday life.

Networking is a very broad concept that is used in all aspects of our life. In general, it’s about a supportive system of sharing information and services among people with common interests. It’s based on the question “How can I help you?” and not “What can you do for me?”

Though the idea of Network Marketing can be intimidating and hard to understand, it is a very effective way of growing a business and gaining access to opportunities that you wouldn’t usually have.
So how can you become a successful Network Marketer you ask?

Here are the guidelines that you can follow:

Set your goals and expectations.

It is very important to set goals because it helps you identify what you want to accomplish in your business, and the activities required to accomplish them.

In the process of establishing your plan, you want to map out both your short-term and long-term goals. It’s not enough to have them in your mind. You want to write down actionable goals, what it takes to make them happen, and check them off as you go.

Once you have identified your goals, you need to be clear on what kind of results you are expecting. I can not stress this enough. Most people expect things to happen so fast but remember, your expectations should be relative to the amount of time and effort you’re bringing into the business. Don’t anticipate for results if you’re not doing anything.

For example, if you set a short term goal to generate an extra $500 per month in your business, you need to be very specific about what kind of sales and team building is necessary to generate $500. If your company pays a fast start bonus of $100 for each person you recruit into the business, you know that you need to sign up 5 people every month to generate the extra $500.

However, if you know you can only invest an hour a week into your business, and you won’t make time to prospect, recruit, expose and follow up with leads for your business, then you can’t possibly expect to earn $500 per month based on the limited time that you are investing into your business.

2. Take ownership of the business.

How? By becoming the product of your own product. Be a living testimony. Use the product or service of the network marketing company you’ve joined. You have to convince yourself first that the product is effective before you go on telling others about it. Acquire the necessary tools and bring them with you whenever you’re out searching for leads. With Vitel, our services are those that we already use; such as cellphone, internet, tv, home security, debit cards, etc. Therefore, I didn't have to do any extra switching or incur any additional fees. I pay my own bill on my website and make a profit there.

3. Be a Core Person.

In order to become an effective network marketer, you have to be a core person—a leader. Take initiative and become a role model by plugging into the systems and training that your company and team has put in place and do what you are expecting others to do. Spend time sharpening your axe and discovering your genius by reading books, attending personal development seminars and listening to audio cd’s about your industry. By undergoing these necessary trainings and skill-building activities, you’ll develop leadership skills that others would be willing to follow and your impact within your organization will become influential and highly respected.

4. Master the art of Leverage.

Do you want to achieve maximum results by only giving minimum output? That is what leverage in Network Marketing is all about. It is the art of multiplying time and effort by means of duplication.

Duplicate yourself through other people and you can easily multiply your sources of income beyond your expectations. It is best illustrated by using the Five-Step Empowerment Principle of Dr. John Maxwell. This principle is an effective system in developing the potential skills of other people until the craft has been mastered and can be passed on to others.

I DO IT I Model
I DO IT AND YOU WATCH I Mentor
YOU DO IT AND I WATCH I Monitor
YOU DO IT You Move Forward
YOU DO IT WITH SOMEBODY ELSE We Multiply

Network marketing can be a very enjoyable endeavor once you’ve learned the ropes. With the right attitude, preparation, and practice, everything will flow naturally. Before you know it, you’re already on your way to success. Just remember to always live by this formula:

Goals + Actions = Results

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">1) I just don’t have
the money. Finances are really tight right now

We all know the economy is terrible
everywhere, but have you been into Walmart lately? What about at
Christmas time? There was no shortage of consumers walking out the doors
with big screen tvs, Nintendo Wiis, and cartloads of gifts and supplies for the
holiday. Have you been past a restaurant at dinnertime lately? The
parking lots are not empty. Folks are even taking vacations which is mind boggling when their home life is not taken care of. People are feeling a pinch in certain areas
of their lives, but people will always find a way to buy what they want to
buy. Even you. Did you stop buying weekly lotto tickets? Do
you still have cable TV? Bottom line, people do what they feel is important to them at the time. The great thing about my business is, we've identified which priorities are most important to people during this bleak economy and provide services aligned with them. All of the above mentioned purchases are services we offer and get paid on. Online shopping, debit card purchases, dining, cellphone payments, cable/internet services and payments, home and car payments. See what I mean? These are things that are necessities. My primary company was developed with the economy in mind. There are 3 levels to get start, and one of them is FREE. Issue solved.

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">2) I’ve always heard
that you shouldn’t have to pay to get a job.

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">If you’re used to checking out opportunities
before you pay ‘the fee’ to join, then you’ve heard this mantra a million
times… ‘never pay a fee to get a job.’ If you hear that there are a
million work at home data entry jobs, and one company has access to them all,
and it is only $49.95 for administration costs to get access to these one
million companies, don’t do it. Same goes for surveys. It’s not
necessary to pay a fee to get a list of marketing research companies who will pay
for your opinion. That information is readily available. So, of
course when you get ready to join an MLM and find out there’s a whopping sign
up fee, the red flag goes up.

So who are we kidding here? If you want to mess around the bottom of the
barrel with data entry and survey opportunities in order to try to make a
living on the internet, that’s fine. The difference with a reputable MLM
company is that it’s not just a job. We’re not talking about paying
someone an administration fee to get access to public information. MLMs
with quality products are offering you an opportunity to become an independent
contractor on behalf of the company and the product. For the signup fee,
you should receive any number of the following: a heap of the quality product
that you’ll be selling, samples of the product for your customers, advertising
materials, access to training, access to promotion and advertising materials,
and hopefully a greatly motivated and helpful upline to assist you in your work
at home endeavors.

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">3) I’m terrible at
marketing and I don’t want to bother my friends and family about money

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">The initial reaction when you sign up for an
MLM is to start calling all your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc.

After all, you won’t make any money until you
get people buying your product and signing up to sell it. If you think it’s
probably annoying for them to listen to you go on about this or that latest and
greatest thing, then it will be.

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">But here’s something to consider before you
sign up for any MLM company. Find a product that you are passionate about.
Think about when Crystal or
Brandi brings the Mary Kay catalog in and sets it on the break-room table. Is
there a mad rush to take a look at the newest offerings for the month? There
just might be. But Mary Kay has been around long enough that it sells itself.
Everyone knows what Mary Kay is. People who want it, want it. People who don’t,
ignore it. No one has to be passionate about anything, and it still works. Better
yet, let’s look at Vitel.
I partnered with a company whose products and services are in in line with what
you are already using in your household. In this case, you would not be creating
a new “bill” but getting paid off of products and services that are already
established. Would you be annoying your friends if you introduced something
like this? And adding the mere fact that your household bills would be paid on
top of the commissions just adds a cherry on top. And it’s because of those
reasons, that it’s easy to get other people passionate about joining your
business.

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">4) Get rich quick
opportunities are always too good to be true

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Most of us still believe that it’s just
impossible to get rich. Despite the success stories that we hear about
Bill Gates, Michael Dell, or even the lady who created ‘green’ cleaning
supplies when doctors couldn’t figure out why her child was constantly sick, we
still believe that it can’t happen for us. Let me repeat, if this is your
belief, than you will never have the opportunity to get rich quick, or even get
rich.

The other problem with the term ‘get rich
quick’ is that most of the people who use this term promise great riches in a
short amount of time with little to no work on your part. These are the
opportunities that are too good to be true. If you get yourself into the
right MLM and get yourself into the right attitude, you may not be a
millionaire overnight, but you could very possibly and quite easily achieve
financial riches that you could have never dreamed of working 9-5 for a
corporate office. And with some MLM opportunities, it’s even quite
possible to achieve millionaire status within a few months, or a couple years
at most. What you put into whatever you do will determine the results you
take away from the experience. Think of your "job". The average job pays 24k a year. That is why our mindset is trained not to believe that we can earn anything more. Anytime I show our compensation plan, people cringe at anything showing more than 3k a month. They are so used to comparing everything to their current situation. People come to me about change. So if change involves your income, open your eyes and mind to the possibilities.

gets confused with the word ‘scam.’ We all know what a scam is and we are
all advised to try and stay advised and as far away as humanly possible from
anything that smells remotely of SCAM. The term ‘scheme’ can merely be
defined as ‘a plan, design, or program of action to be followed.’ Pyramid
schemes ARE, in fact, illegal. Many people confuse MLM opportunities with
pyramid schemes. The difference is this: MLM opportunities are
accompanied by a (usually) worthy product. Within the MLM opportunity you
have the option to sell products to potential customers, in addition to
offering the business opportunity to potential distributors
<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 12.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">7) I need a real job (my favorite)

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">Embarking on the opportunities that the right
MLM business can provide for you is quite different from having a ‘real job’
but can actually be a lot less limiting. If you decide you want to run
your own business, you get to be the boss. You create the rules, you can
break them whenever you want, you get more time with your family, you can smash
your alarm clock, and you can potentially make loads more money than any
company would ever pay you for your particular skill set. What is it then
that makes people nervous about not having the ‘perceived’ security of a real
job?

<span style="color: #333333; font-family: "Arial","sans-serif"; font-size: 10.5pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman";">In case you haven’t figured it out by now, our society is
programmed by news, media, commercials, advertising, solicitations, government
and consumerism. When science has a breakthrough that destroys years of
previous thought, theory and what we’ve considered to be the facts, it takes a
while for people to begin to believe it. The world is rapidly moving
through the age of information and virtual reality. How many times will
we need to hear of massive layoffs or unemployed college graduates before we realize
that times aren’t changing, they’ve already changed. You know you’ve got
to work until you’re 73 and a half or some nonsense before you can apply for
social security. Now that’s kind of outrageous if you ask me, and I’m not
even going to get into whether or not social security will be available by the
time I’m there. We need to stop thinking about thinking outside the box
and jump right out of the box.

ground floor opportunity at LIFE! Take a chance, believe in yourself, do
some research and jump in! You WILL get out of it what you
put into it. I don’t consider myself to be an expert, but there is a
wealth of knowledge and information available to anyone looking. If you
contact me, I can sure help to point you in the right direction to achieve your

I'm up trying to get my kids off to school and it seems like they are not in the mood. So instead of nagging them, I decided to make my morning coffee and begin my work. As I sit here and sip caramel macciato, I reflect back to a dinner conversation that I had a couple of nights ago. Someone asked me, "How do you just drum up a conversation with people you don't know and talk to them about your business?" Its an interesting question with an interesting answer. There’s the perception out there that Network Marketers are the types of people that will ONLY talk to you about their product/service/opportunity. That may be true of some people and you may think that I enter with the typical intro, but I don't. Sometimes when people say where do you work, and I say I work from home, that opens a conversation but what if that specific question never gets asked? I find that one of the hardest things networks marketers struggle with most is talking about their business. This perception has scared many network marketers out of talking about their business at all. They don’t want to be seen as “that person”.

A great strategy in growing your Network Marketing business is learning how to “slip in” your business during ordinary conversations. The idea is not to be “tricky” about it, but to develop a natural conversation that can lead to you talking to someone more about your business. The caveat is to make THEM ask YOU more about it! It makes you feel better when you dangle a little something out there…a teaser…and someone says, “what is your business” or “tell me more”. Having permission feels great!!

So, how do you slip in your business into an ordinary conversation? You look for opportunities to talk to people…usually people you don’t know…to bring up a teaser about your business and have them ask more.

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

1. You’re at the office supply store getting business supplies and the woman in front of you has something unique. You say, “Where did you find that, that would be awesome for my business!” She will usually tell you and then say “what is your business”. Trust me… I've done it MANY times! Make sure you have a brochure or business card handy to give once you tell her! I don't carry business cards that much, I use a text service that gives them the electronic version of my card so that its easy to share. Here is where you can find that product. I don't sell it personally but a good friend of mine does and its wonderful.

2. You’re at the coffee shop and strike up a conversation with someone about the weather and say, “I’m just so glad to get out of the house! I’ve been working at home for 3 days straight and just need a BREAK! I think I’ll drink this out in the sunshine and soak it in before I hit the computer/phones again”. Again…you WILL get asked what you do at home…. Time to share!!

3. If you have traveled for your business lately for a convention or training of any kind, make SURE you slip that into a conversation with a clerk or someone in line at the store or even beside you as you are looking at clothes. Something like, “oh, I wish I would have had that on my business trip to Chicago!” It gets a conversation going about where you went, and then WHY.

4. While not QUITE the same, try this as well. If you are at the park or a playland of a fast food restaurant with your kids, see who’s sitting there looking bored. At the BEGINNING of your visit (because you want to leave time for conversation) just walk over and say, “I know what it’s like just sitting here for a while! I thought I’d give you a catalog to look over while you’re here! You’re welcome to keep it if you’d like!” It’s a great way to get your product catalog in the hands of someone…and invite further conversation while you are there with your kids. I’ve seen it do WONDERS!

Once they ask you a question, it leads to more questions. People are naturally curious. ESPECIALLY about people who a) have their own businesses b) work from home c) travel for their business and d) seem to ENJOY what they do.

If you have a positive attitude about your business, people will be curious and the conversation becomes them asking you more. What a great way for you to tell them more!

So don’t be afraid to be “that” MLM person. Just be friendly and personable. Let the opportunity to talk about your business come in to your conversation (plant it!) and when someone asks, be willing to tell them more!

Now I spend time with the Lord but when you hear like this, you listen. I got out of the bed, straightened my room and walked in the kitchen to make my coffee and start breakfast. It was as if my legs didn't work. I knew what that meant, I needed to find my laptop or a pen and paper and write. I love it! I now know the voice of the Lord. I'm not writing to talk about my relationship with GOD, I just wanted to mention this because its important to be obedient. I learned a long time ago that when HE wants to talk, I need to listen and take notes.

Any-who as I sit down, he starts with out me. Use this as a lesson for others. That has always been my goal so I knew there was more coming. Not to long ago, I had a life changing event. Now it may not seem as magnified as others but to me, it was more than just the fact of job loss. See, I had been through this same exact situation about 7 years ago. As I think back, its nearly the same time of year. I was working with a reputable company and was doing WELL and one day the rug was snatched from underneath me. I find it ironic that I'm thinking back to that time with the Presidential debates coming up this week. At that time, my job was outsourced to India with little to no warning or time to prepare. Needless to say, I lost everything. My car, my home, my "friends". I put that in quotes because I want to come back to that in a moment. Fast forward 7 years later, the same test is up again but this time, I had studied. I am prepared and I know how to ace this one.

It is now time for me to practice what I teach. There are so many people in my position right now. And there are even more people in a worst place than me. I feel like my job at this time is to teach others the lesson that I've learned. I want to teach you how to prepare for financial peace. You might be asking, what can you teach me? I can teach you how to focus on your goals, to market your business online and offline and to change your mentality from being an employee to a business owner. The rest is up to you. If you choose the vehicle that I'm using, GREAT. If not, I can still help you as a consultant. When I first started in this industry, I had the great opportunity to have mentors who cared about me and my family. That's what I want to be for you. I know what its like to lose everything and to live off of nothing for a while until I could take direction and become coachable. A teacher is someone who can teach you how to do something and help you avoid mistakes that are costly and time consuming.

Remember that we don't know what the future holds but we can look around and watch the trends. I know that anyone without a small business or home based business is in a worse off position than those with them. If I hadn't had a plan B, I probably would have lost my home again. But this time I had a plan and now I am working that plan and helping others to do so in the process. I don't have to worry about bills that much because the company that I am working with is so concerned with my family that they are taking care of them for us and its a beautiful thing.

Small investment + a little work = elimination of household bills. How?? you ask. I've presented this concept over the last couple of weeks and it now makes sense to a lot of people but still unclear to a few. As I grow in network marketing, I am realizing that I was not putting half of my potential into my business. I admit to being a little lazy and allowing fear and worry to infiltrate my thoughts and take my off focus. I mean that can easily happen when life happens and other priorities get in the way. After watching a training video from my mentor, she opened my eyes to "forward thinking". See we cant do what we don't know and we must do what is strange to most to get what most don't have.

If you have never heard of flipping houses or don't know what the process entails, here is an article that explains what is needed to make a profit. There is also a show on HGTV that shows the more glamorous side of flipping houses. But for the most part, people purchase a house for "cheap", spend time doing work and upgrading it, and then sell it for a profit. That's a high level overview and precisely the same thing that we are doing in network marketing or any small business for that matter. Yes there is a small investment but what in life is free? Think of it this way, if you could invest $99 and receive $1275 in return, would you? I mean really think about that answer. Im paying $99 for a product/online business portal, putting in work by sharing my business and what it has to offer and in return, I am receiving incentives in addition to my commissions and pay. Those incentives just happen to be my household bills getting paid.

I was compelled to put this into writing after today's conference call. As you know, my primary source of income right now is with Vitel Wireless. This company pays household bills while you are building residual income. This is unheard of in our industry and the concept is really allowing ordinary people to advance their businesses quickly. But that's not why I'm writing. All the time in network marketing, we are taught that when you work for yourself, you have to have a mindset of a hunter "If I don't work, I don't eat". People that punch a clock everyday have a false sense of security that they will get paid for the day or paid for being there when that all can change in an instant. With network marketing, although it is slow to build, it is slow to fall. That means you are not entirely affected if one or two decide to quit as opposed to when your employer decides to "quit you" all is lost. I hope that was clear. Once you decide to win, that's it! YOU WIN. This applies to any business, not just my business or industry. Anyone who is self employed has the opportunity to go out and build their business as big as they want to. The sky is truly the limit.

more after the jump

With that said, for those of you who view this business as a job, then work it like one. If you have ever been an outside sales rep, the requirements are as follows.

must be a self starter

must have a positive attitude

must be organized and have the ability to follow up

must be determined

and the word must not affect you negatively

If you have those skills you can be successful. Of course you have to have the tools and training and product knowledge but that comes with the job but that is a given or at least it should be. But there are keys to working from home that most miss, and that's how to do it. You cant just simply say, Im gonna start a business and just do it. You need a plan and guidance. Here are 10 tips to implements while working from home.

Organize your day. Start with a morning meeting to review your calendar, morning affirmations, and prayer session.

Return emails from the previous day, send out follow up emails and reminder emails for appointments scheduled the next day (You should be working 1 day ahead with this plan as your day is already scheduled)

Make your appointments for the morning and calls for the evening or vice verse depending on what your schedule permits. Ex. My kids are in school during the day so that's when I make my phone calls. My out of the office appointments are in the afternoon so that I can schedule them around sports pick ups and errands.

Schedule time for online prospecting. Beware of time thieves. I have two accounts on my laptop. One account is for personal use. When I log in there, all my personal social networking accounts are shown and there are a lot of distractions. But my business side is strictly that- BUSINESS. Business files, professional background, etc.

Take time to listen to personal development, find a mentor. Of course as your up line, I will help you as much as possible but its always good to have another person that you aspire to be like. Find that person and see what they have to offer daily. (where do you think I get my training ideas from *wink)

Plan for the following day. Make out your schedule for the next day. Plan your appointments with 15-20 gaps to plan for unforeseen emergencies or things that come up. This allows you to call ahead if you are going to be late or reschedule.

Check your back office for training. Review your business opportunity presentation daily. Before long you will have if memorized and it will be second nature to present. Not only that, you will be able to answer questions intelligently.

EAT! This is so important. Working from home we can get so busy that we forget the most important things to keep us healthy so that we can do this.

Have a good time. People are looking at you. They join you, not necessarily your business. Yes we have an awesome pay plan, we are getting our bills paid making money but people join other people. They are watching you to see if this is something that they can do themselves. Show yourself duplicatable. That way they can say to them selves, I can do this! I will do this!

Repeat the next day. The key to this thing is consistency. We will not be successful if we work for a week and quit. It doesn't work like that and not everyone will realize this. That is why in this industry, only a few see true success. If you quit you will never win.

Here is what I look for in an ideal business partner.Job Flyer Vertical

I realize that not everyone will have the desire to work in this industry. But if you are intrigued a little, if you think you can, if you have a desire to do something that is bigger than what your current income can provide, if you don't have $100 in savings, if you are unemployed, if you need to get a second job to make ends meet, or if you are concerned about Christmas gifts...then I encourage you to review the link below and contact me. Allow me to show you the difference this has made in my life and the life of my teammates. "Wont you come?"

This was she my response... Yes it is true that you dont know me but I was in a very similar situation. Unemployed with bills due. I am a single mother and we just dont have the luxary to sit and do nothing. Yes my faith tells me that God is my provider and he will make provisions for my family and finances, yet the bible also says that we must use our faith to bring forth the blessings in to the natural realm. With that said, Why not help yourself while waiting on countless companies to call you back for positions you've applied for. Our company is paying household bills directly so you can eliminate the stress and worry about home and completely focus and help others. This will also allow you to be selective on the position you want to accept instead of taking the first available position you are offered for $7.75/hr. Makes sense right? WELCOME TO THE TEAM!

Yes, I am able to go pick up my boys from school and each lunch with them and volunteer for lots of things at their school; BUT IT IS WORK!! I still have to get up early, I still need to plan my day and speak to people, but the most important part is that I still need to work. Planning is really important to me. I look at this industry as outside sales. Having an outside sales position really helped me to work independently. So if you are interested in growing your income, please take a look at the flyer and if you can answer yes to those questions, you will be a perfect fit.
So many people have asked me what is Vitel. Here is a short 15 presentation that shows how we are able to have Vitel Wireless pay our monthly bills. I'm still at free phone service level but to have my phone bill paid up to $125 each month has freed up that money to do other things. My boys are getting ready to go back to school and that will be a great help. Take a look below. You cant win if you don't begin!!
